It sounds great. I like that piano you add in and then let solo then blend to the end. My only complaint would be that the main riff doesnt change enough, the only reason i look at it that way is because it is instrumental.

Michael425 responds:

yeah, the main tune could of had some more variation.

I'm glad u liked the piano.

Summary

I liked electric guitar. It was very powerful but didnt have to be loud. The acoustic guitar wasnt very strong. It needed to be alot louder and full of feeling. A few seconds after the 2:15 mark it started to fall apart, maybe you should work on that.

yokomeso responds:

Srry, I don't get what you mean by "fall apart" after the 2.15 is a transition from what sounds like the end of the song to a continuation of the song (this happens three times durring the song). Thats actually one of the most favored parts of the song cause of the explosion of the solo

I do admit the three guitars going at once is a little overwhelming and could have been lighten down, and the end should have ended just in the elctric playing with no acoustic

thx for the review ^^

Summary

Good work, I like the chord choice and the flow. The guitar layer works nice. Maybe you could work on making the back layer stay together. I can hear at time where it doesnt quite stay. The second layer [the high one] is nice but hard to hear. Maybe you could raise the levels. I dont think you should have had that third layer right at the end. It would sound much better without it and by taking that away you could stay focused and not get a pile of guitar at once.

Jaalave responds:

Ya... thanks. I like feedback, it makes my music better. I really like that you like it. This was kinda my test with playing guitar and recording it, and I was mainly just fiddleing arround. I wrote this song when I was depressed. It was kinda to show how things can build up and slowly control you, and make the little things can make your life unbearable. It's in E minor, which is my favorite key. It is so sad and dark, but it continues to show a sense of hope. I don't like the end, because it is not clean.

Thanks for the feedback... you are helping my playing.

Be sure to check out Yokomeso. He is my friend and bandmate in acoustic shows. We haven't played anything recently, but we plan on recording something soon. Check out Just Now... it was my first ever attempt at a solo.

Summary

Not bad, with more practice you can be even better. This doesnt sound that bad. Maybe you should work on playing the same volume throughout. Good chord choices and the solo wasnt too bad.

Jaalave responds:

As I said to shanzerion923, I've only been playing guitar for about a year, about 1 to 6 hours a day. Thanks. I really liked how the solo went. I was amazed when I stopped and listened to it.

Quality sucks though, because I use a built in microphone to record my music. I am actually getting a really nice Austin electric with a flying whammy and an acoustic pedal, so that will help quality. I hope to get better. I was amazed to get 2 reviews within 10 minutes of posting it. Thanks guys. Hopefully you will like more of my music.

Summary

Its pretty good. Did you record the instruments or did you use a generater? I like the bass line around 1:30 mark. Good overall sound and texture. Keep it up.

Trevor-peaches responds:

I recorded all the instruments except the drums.
Thanks man :)

Great

Not your best work. The piano needs to change a bit, but thats all i can think of. Nice drums in there, they create a strong feel.

KTRECORDS responds:

This song is still a work in progress. I have an idea for maybe making a big change later in the song. I'm kind of tentative when it comes to changing it too much though. I'd hate to ruin the mood of the song that I already have going. I'm also lazy, lol. Glad you like it though!

Its amazing how your first song is my second favorite song by you. You put alot work into this [I think] and it payed off. As you can tell by now I have reviewed EVERYONE OF YOUR SONGS and I feel accomplished. Good work on all of them. Keep it up.

Manhart responds:

Lol I didn't see that I got new reviews on my older songs :D
But thanks a lot man! Ye it is the first one I submitted on NG, but not the first one I ever made though . . .
Thank you for your reviews! :D

Summary

Good, nice bells and synth. Overall good. The only problem I found was the drums were over used. [A common problem you have].

Manhart responds:

I'm just too lazy to make the drums change through the song ^^

Summary

Very nice, smooth, and calm song. It is great for background music [if you use it in flash]. I like the extra [Bells?] towards the end.

Manhart responds:

very calm yes :) would be great if any would use it for background music for anything :P
I actually forgot what kind of sound I used towards the end . . and I cannot find the FL file, so I cannot open it again :( it is just goooone waah ,. .

Summary
