It felt like you were using the vocals as a melody and it didnt work out too well. Good background. (bass, percussion and hits)

SourPuddle responds:

You probably didn't make it to the saxophone part? Thanks man.

Review

The bass line wasnt very deep. I almost didnt need a woofer to hear it.

Review

Not very good. You had a transition that led to the same thing...

Good job. I didnt like the snare around 1:10 though. just didnt seem to fit in.

You should try to use the bass to work with the melody some more. You did it at certain points, but I think you could make the song more intense.

haywirehaywire responds:

Im not sure what your talking about cause the bass always follows the melody..... thanks for the review anyway.

You realizing the word boof is pretty much an insult right? lol. I felt this song had a good melody. Maybe you could add some more percussion. Perhaps a galloping snare at the :35 area

Id turn up the violins at the begining. You could do a decrescendo with them and have them drift to their level that you want as the other violins come in and take the melody. I felt this piece didnt have a defining melody during certain points.

Review

It seemed a little slow.

TIMarbury responds:

the original version is even slower :x. i actually increased the tempo as the song progressed alittle bit. thx for the review.

Good supporting beat. The drums worked together and the bassline was good. It is hardly ever that the bass line changes in songs. Id suggest another melody to add to the mix.

Good job with the vocals, not many songs use them and I commend you for trying to improve yourself. Id suggest trying to make them go together more. Its more than just having the vocals stay on beat. Have them work off of each other.

Shoephly responds:

Thanks you for being the first to write something :)

And yea, you're definetly right, out of the 3 minute original vocal I only used the first verse (approx 1min), and in that sence. And I started with the kinda climactic part of the original song as my begining.
But thanks for giving me a lil more faith on that I atleast got the vocals on beat, since I was struggling with that for such a long time as well as trying to make it a little orginal having the vocals stutter.

Looks like I just have to rethink a little on the composition. :)
